The Jupiter-C launched America’s first satellite, Explorer 1. It was designed by the von Braun team and built by the army. It was America’s first success in space which caused a celebration. The Cold War state of geopolitical tension between the Soviet Union and America. This interests me to think that if this was launched because of a war then what would happen if there wasn’t a war.
